Christina Camier studied Communication and Political Science at the Technical University of Berlin. She has worked on a wide range of social issues as a PR consultant, project manager and science communications officer at the Bertelsmann Foundation, the German Energy Agency and the Technical University of Berlin. In March 2017, she joined the IASS (now RIFS) and headed communications for the Kopernikus project Energiewende-Navigationssystem (ENavi). From March 2020 to March 2023, she worked as a research assistant to Ortwin Renn for the steering committee of the German government's Science Platform Climate Protection. Since January 2022, she has been helping to shape the Fellow Programme. Since September 2022, she has been a member of the Steering Committee of #FactoryWisskomm, the discourse platform initiated by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research to create an adequate framework for effective and responsible science communication in Germany. She has been committed to gender equality since July 2022, initially as Equal Opportunities Officer at the IASS, and since January 2023 as a member of the Equal Opportunities Officer team at the GFZ.
